Who we are
Bridge by SGT is operated by Smart Global Technologies Inc.("SGT", "we", "us"), an Ontario corporation with offices in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Bridge is an invitation-only enterprise communication platform provisioned by SGT for its team members and partners.
What this app is
Bridge is not a public messaging service. Access is controlled by SGT administrators. Each user account is provisioned by an authorized administrator. The app is intended for internal coordination between SGT team members, operating-company staff, and explicitly invited partners.
Information we collect
- Account information: username, display name, email, role, and authentication credentials (passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes; we never see your plaintext password).
- Messages and content: text messages, photos, voice notes, files, and reactions you create or share inside Bridge. Messages are stored encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
- Device information: device push token (for notifications), device type, app version, and last-seen timestamp.
- Usage data: timestamps of actions you take (sending messages, joining channels, acknowledging urgent alerts) for audit and operational purposes.
- Diagnostics: anonymized error logs to detect and fix issues.
How we use the information
- To deliver app functionality (sending messages, displaying conversations, push notifications, search).
- To enforce role-based access and audit who said what within an organization.
- To keep the service secure and operational (anti-abuse, rate limiting, error diagnosis).
We do not sell your information. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your messages with third parties for analytics.
Tracking and analytics
Bridge does not include third-party advertising or behavioral tracking SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Data sharing
Your data is shared only:
- With other authenticated members of channels you participate in, as part of normal app function.
- With administrators of your organization for audit and compliance.
- With our infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, Apple Push Notification Service, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) strictly to deliver the service. These providers act as data processors under our instructions.
- If required by law or a valid legal process.
Security
- All network traffic uses TLS.
- Message bodies are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with keys held by SGT.
- iOS protects against screenshot capture in confidential channels; Android blocks screenshots and screen recording at the OS level via FLAG_SECURE.
- Optional biometric login (Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint) on supported devices.
Data retention
Messages and account data are retained for as long as your organization keeps Bridge active. Soft-deletion is the default; data is purged on request from your organization administrator or when SGT terminates the service.
Your rights
If you are a Bridge user, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting your organization administrator or writing to us at the address below.
Children
Bridge is not directed at children and is not available to anyone under 13. Account provisioning requires an organizational invitation.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and notify users through the app.
